These lovers fled away into the storm.'
- lines from 'The Eve of St Agnes' - which I have always carried in my head.
I was born on a frozen mid-Winter's night; the hare seems to be a recurring motif in my life
and now features in my reading research and on my house name-plate. There are too few books,
both reference and fiction, which focus on the hare in fact and mythology.
